	Jumps are one of the most important part of a figure skating program. There are different types of jumps in figure skating a edge jump and pick jump a pick jump is a toe loop, flip and lutze, some edge jumps are waltz jump axel sowchow and loop.
Cecelia Colledge was the first woman to land a double in 1936. Dick Buttonwas the first man to land a double axel in 1948, Dick Button was also the first man to land a tripel jump in 1952. Jana Mrazkova was the woman to land a tripel jump in 1959. Vern Taylor lands the first tripel axel in 1978.		Kurt Browning was the first man to land a quadruple jump in 1988. Midori Ito was the first woman to land a tripel axel. Elvis Stojko was the first man to land a quadruple jump in combination in 1991
	Tara Lipinski becomes the youngest winner for the world championships at age 15; Tara Lipinski also was the youngest skater to win the Olympic champion ships in 1998.
