Application Information

The school district invites applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals who would like to work in a progressive school district whose mission is to work together with all educational partners to develop compassionate citizens and successful lifelong learners.
Although we would like to consider all interested applicants, we can only consider qualified candidates who submit a complete application package containing the following:
- A letter of application specifying the job posting number of the position applied for.
- A chronological resume (most recent information first) outlining your education, experience and professional development.
- A list of names, phone numbers (and email addresses if applicable) of three professional references who have supervised you in the past i.e. your most recent Principals/Supervisors.
- Photocopies of university transcripts, certificates, diplomas, trade certificates or other post-secondary education as applicable.
School District #71 (Comox Valley) is now using makeafuture.ca for teaching applications. We encourage qualified candidates to apply electronically on www.makeafuture.ca. We will also accept teaching applications by mail or dropped off in person.
Please note, only external teaching jobs will be posted on makeafuture.ca. To view administrative and executive vacancies, please check our District website for details.
Please note that due to limited school district personnel, we cannot bring forward, photocopy or return previously submitted information from application packages such as resumes, portfolios, teaching reports, university transcripts, etc. Consequently, candidates will need to provide a separate and complete application package for each job posting (separate envelopes not necessary).
Application packages must be received prior to the closing date/time. Late applications will not be accepted.
Offers of employment will be conditional to successful completion of the district's medical form and the district's criminal background check.
